Quality Manager / Head of Group Quality Management

This Quality Manager position will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the quality management system and provide assistance to clinic / lab / admin departments in quality functions and improvements. The position will assist in tracking metrics; in identifying areas for improvement; in addressing client concerns, and in leading improvement initiatives.

The Quality Manager will:

  • Provide leadership for quality programs including implementation of policies, procedures or systems which lead to continuous quality improvement. Collaborate with Country Managers to ensure quality.
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are properly interpreted, implemented in a timely fashion, and that the staff performs according to all SOPs.
  • Act in a proactive manner in the identification and resolution of issues which adversely affect clinic / laboratory quality.
  • Promote a culture of quality throughout the clinic / laboratory through open communication and increased quality awareness.
  • Assist in formulating policies with respect to regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain competency and understanding of quality requirements for clinic / laboratory accreditation agencies and others
  • Monitor the IVF/ laboratories to assure that equipment, methods, practices, records, controls, and SOPs are in compliance with regulations and accreditation requirements
  • Plan and conduct internal audits of administrative departments - finance, IT, HR, PM, marketing etc. to assure management that practices, records, controls, and SOPs are in compliance with regulations and accreditation requirements
  • Provide interpretation and guidance of regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as guidance on meeting the requirements.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and associated policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate process improvement and corrective actions and develop and monitor effectiveness checks as required.
  • Provide and ensure training and support for quality policies and procedures.
  • Plan and conduct the internal audits of the technical activities.
  • Monitor/audit the performance of critical/key clinic/laboratory vendors, as needed
  • Follow-up on corrective/remedial actions to assure appropriate actions were taken and were effective
  • Support directors, managers, and supervisory personnel in preparing for inspections. Actively participate in all audits and inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • Certified and proficient in quality and compliance.
  • Works toward certification from Society for Quality to become a Certified Quality Auditor.
  • Typically requires 2 years of related experience in a medical and/or healthcare regulated environment.
  • Ideally experience with clinic / laboratory.
  • Must be open to travel or must demonstrate flexibility to travel
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Must be able to read, write, and speak German and English.
  • Computer literacy: Word Processing, database software, and spreadsheet programs, proficiency with email and Internet applications.

The position will be based in Augsburg and report to COO International.
